Traditional infrastructure is defined as physical electric, gas, water,
sewer, storm water, transportation systems, and public safety systems
and institutions. Physical infrastructure across the region is, by in
large, in adequate to better condition. In fact, excess capacity/supply
exists in most systems in many communities across Eastland’s region.
Generally speaking, electric energy is in good supply at moderate cost
in West Central Texas. Deregulation of electric energy may be confusing
to certain subsets of consumers, but may also result in lower, and more
competitive, costs. Commercial/industrial users are still able to
negotiate “most favorable rates”.
