Utilities Serving Eastland

Traditional Infrastructure
Traditional infrastructure is defined as physical electric, gas, water, sewer, storm water, transportation systems, and public safety systems and institutions. Physical infrastructure across the region is, by in large, in adequate to better condition. In fact, excess capacity/supply exists in most systems in many communities across Eastland’s region.

Generally speaking, electric energy is in good supply at moderate cost in West Central Texas. Deregulation of electric energy may be confusing to certain subsets of consumers, but may also result in lower, and more competitive, costs. Commercial/industrial users are still able to negotiate “most favorable rates”.

TEXAS CHOICE - The Power To Choose
On January 1, 2002, Texas' electric industry opened to customer choice, giving you the power to choose the company that provides your electricity. Electric Choice offers benefits for both residential and non-residential customers. It will give you greater control over your energy provider and should lower the price of your electricity over time. Visit the Texas Choice web site for more information.
